BMW has always been known for its luxury and performance, but now it aims for sustainability with its first-ever all-electric 7 Series sedan, the BMW i7. This stunning vehicle combines the best of both worlds: a spacious, elegant interior, a powerful, agile driving experience, and a zero-emission electric powertrain that can rival any gas-powered competitor.
The BMW i7 is not just a regular 7 Series with a battery pack. It's a completely new model that has been developed alongside the next generation of the 7 Series, which will also offer hybrid and gasoline options. The BMW i7 is designed to be the flagship of BMW's "i" sub-brand of electric vehicles, which includes the BMW i3 hatchback, the BMW i4 sedan, and the BMW iX SUV.
The BMW i7 is expected to hit the US market in early 2023, starting at $120,295. It will compete with other high-end electric sedans, such as the Tesla Model S, the Porsche Taycan, the Audi e-tron GT, and the Mercedes-Benz EQS. But unlike some of its rivals, the BMW i7 does not sacrifice luxury or comfort for efficiency or range. It offers a deluxe and supremely quiet cabin with plenty of features and options to pamper both the driver and the passengers.
One of the most impressive features of the BMW i7 is its massive 31-inch BMW Theater Screen, which spans across the entire dashboard and offers 5G connection and up to 8K resolution. The screen can be customized to display various information and functions, such as navigation, entertainment, climate control, driver assistance, and more. The screen can also be split into different sections, allowing the driver and the front passenger to access different content simultaneously.
The rear-seat passengers are not left out either. They can enjoy their own entertainment system with two 10-inch touchscreens mounted on the front seatbacks, as well as a removable tablet that can control various functions in the car. The rear seats are also electrically adjustable and reclining, with massage and ventilation functions. For those who want to relax or work in the back, an optional Executive Lounge package adds a foldable table, a footrest, and a refrigerator.
