The Audi TT Roadster has been a staple of the German automaker’s lineup since 2001, offering a sleek and sporty convertible that combines performance, technology, and style. The TT Roadster has gone through three generations, each one refining and enhancing the original concept of a compact, all-wheel-drive drop-top that can deliver exhilarating driving dynamics and a refined open-air experience.
But all good things must come to an end, and the 2023 model year will mark the last production year for the TT Roadster. To celebrate the legacy of this iconic design, Audi of America has announced the TT Roadster Final Edition, a limited and exclusive model that pays homage to the first generation TT Roadster with unique elements and features that reflect the heritage and evolution of the model.
The TT Roadster Final Edition: What Makes It Special?
The TT Roadster Final Edition is not just another trim level or option package. It is a carefully crafted tribute to the original Audi design icon, featuring distinctive details that are not available on any other Roadster model. Only 50 units of the TT Roadster Final Edition will be available for the U.S. market, making it a rare and coveted collector’s item for Audi enthusiasts.
The TT Roadster Final Edition is available only as a Roadster and comes finished in Audi exclusive Goodwood Green pearl effect paint, which was offered as a series production color for the first generation TT Roadster. The green exterior is complemented by a gray convertible top, which can be raised and lowered in just 10 seconds while the vehicle is driving at speeds of up to 31 mph.
The Audi TT Roadster Final Edition also features platinum gray matte exterior bumper trim and side trim elements integrated with the S line exterior. The S line exterior is offered for the first time on the third-generation TT Roadster and comes equipped without S line badging for increased exclusivity. The TT Roadster Final Edition also boasts 20x9-inch 10-Y-spoke design forged wheels and carbon fiber inlays.
Inside, the TT Roadster Final Edition is finished in Palomino Brown leather, which nods to the first generation’s iconic baseball stitch leather. The Palomino Brown leather and stitching are also applied to the extended leather package, which covers the door armrests, center console, airbag cap, and instrument cluster hood. The steering wheel and gear selector boot also features Audi exclusive Palomino Brown stitching, and the floor mats are trimmed with Palomino Brown leather piping and stitching. The TT Roadster Final Edition also comes with Audi magnetic ride, which adjusts the suspension damping to the road conditions and driving style.
The TT Roadster Final Edition: How Does It Perform?
The Audi TT Roadster Final Edition is not just a pretty face. It also delivers impressive performance, thanks to its 2.0 TFSI engine that produces 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a quattro all-wheel-drive system and a 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission, which enable the TT Roadster Final Edition to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds and reach a top track speed of 130 mph.
The TT Roadster Final Edition also offers a range of driver assistance and infotainment features, such as Audi drive select, Audi virtual cockpit, Audi smartphone interface, Audi side assist, parking system plus, and a Bang & Olufsen sound system with 12 speakers and 680 watts of power.
